Challenges for Stem Cell Bioprocessing: Scale-up or Scale-out?

12:00 PM - 02:00 PM|Professor Karen Coopman|Associate Dean for Research & Innovation, School of Aeronautical, Automotive, Chemical and Materials Engineering. Director EPSRC/MRC CDT in Regenerative Medicine. Dept. of Chemical Engineering. Loughborough University|Invitado por: Dr. Enrique Galindo
Seminario

In this talk, Karen will cover work that her team have done over a number of years to explore solutions to the challenges associated with stem cell bioprocessing for use in cell therapy. The focus will be on work done with mesenchymal stem cells but the approaches discussed could be equally applied to other adherent cells or for cells used in e.g. the cultured meat industry rather than in clinic. As Associate Dean for Research and Innovation in the School of Aeronautical Automotive Chemical and Materials Engineering, she will also touch on some of the other work done by colleagues in the wider healthcare and/or bioengineering field.
